However, they seem to be somewhat difficult as usually recipes be either quick or healthy, but rarely both! But since so many people are working outside the home and are finding their schedules crammed with so many other activities and responsibilities even when they&#8217;re not working, finding quick, healthy recipes is a priority for many. No one has the time or the desire to stand over the sink chopping vegetables and no one has the time to wait for a dinner that takes hours to fix.</p>
<p>&#13;Interestingly enough you can come up with your own quick, healthy recipes simply varying the ingredients of your favorite recipes or by learning how to cook properly with different types of kitchen tools and gadgets.</p>
<p>&#13;As an example, when you use a rotisserie you can find quick, healthy recipes for just about any type of meat you might want. By having it cook on the rotisserie you&#8217;re having the grease and fat drip away from it rather than having the meat cook in its own fats. By using some marinades or seasoning mixes you may find that your main dishes come out much tastier this way then they ever did before and you don&#8217;t need to use fats to add flavor to your dishes. As a matter of fact, these quick, healthy recipes for your main dishes aren&#8217;t even really recipes but just better and healthier ways of preparing your meats so you don&#8217;t even need to follow instructions from a cookbook.</p>
<p>&#13;Some other ways of coming up with your own quick, healthy recipes is to reduce the amount of sugar you use to cook with when making desserts and other items. If you bake from scratch, try using applesauce as a sweetener or reducing your sugar by one-third. Use reduced fat mayonnaise or salad dressing; you don&#8217;t need to go with fat free completely as this might be too much of a change for you, but by just reducing fat and sugar you can come up with some great quick, healthy recipes that are still very palatable to you and your family. You can also cut back just a little bit to start with and then gradually work your way up to how much you want to reduce your sugar and fat content overall.</p>
<p>&#13;Sneak vegetables into your cooking whenever you can; this is how quick, healthy recipes are created in a professional kitchen. If you make meatloaf, add some chopped peppers and onions. Do the same when cooking soup &#8211; add additional chopped carrots, onions, and anything else your family enjoys. Slip some spinach into an omelet. These are all easy and quick tips but you would be surprised how often people ignore these tips when cooking. Making up your own quick, healthy recipes simply means being creative with your ingredients and your methods.</p>
<p>&#13;Of course it does no good to come up with these quick, healthy recipes if you and your family never actually eat the things you cook this way. Get into the habit of having a small salad or bowl of vegetable soup before each dinner and lunch. This doesn&#8217;t need to be a huge bowlful; just a few small bites before your main meal can make a tremendous amount of difference. You can also schedule what days you&#8217;re going to have your quick, healthy recipes and then save your special treats and indulgences for the weekend or another special time. Make sure the family knows that Monday is healthy night, Tuesday you&#8217;ll have what you want, Wednesday is another healthy night, and so on.</p>
<p>&#13;And get your family involved in coming up with and creating quick, healthy recipes. If the kids are busy in the kitchen they&#8217;re more likely to want to eat what they&#8217;ve prepared. You don&#8217;t want them to use dangerous knives and other equipment but they can certainly work with measuring and things such as this.</p>

<p>&#13;A detox diet can help relieve your system from these synthetic chemicals and free radicals. If left unattended they can have harmful effects in our body.  With the detox diet you&#8217;ll also be able to enjoy delicious foods, foods that do no harm to you.  If you are motivated enough and follow the detox program you&#8217;ll find that these detox diet recipes will even help put your eating habits on the right track for the rest of your life.</p>
<p>&#13;A good detox  recipe to try is called &#8220;Creamless Spinach Soup Recipe.&#8221;  It is a delicious and healthy detox diet recipe that will indeed complement your detox diet. You can eat it as a regular meal or as a snack.  Spinach is a good source of iron, calcium, and other vitamins, as well as high in fiber, which is exactly what your body needs for detoxification.  </p>
<p>&#13; You will need the following ingredients: <br />&#13;2 tablespoon of extra virgin oil (olive or coconut) <br />&#13;1 teaspoon garlic chopped <br />&#13;1 cup medium diced onion <br />&#13;1 cup medium diced carrots <br />&#13;1 cup medium diced celery<br />&#13;1 cup medium diced leek <br />&#13;6 cups water <br />&#13;2 bay leaves <br />&#13;Spring of thyme <br />&#13;2 pounds of chopped spinach.  </p>
<p>&#13;First you saute the garlic for about 2 minutes in your choice of virgin oil.  Continue to sauté while adding the onion, celery, leeks, and carrots.  Cook until onions are done. You&#8217;ll know when the onions are cooked because they turn translucent.  Then pour in the water and add bay leaves and thyme.  Once everything has come to a boil then simmer for an hour.  Remove from fire and set to cool for about an hour. After mixture has cooled you remove the bay leaves and thyme.  </p>
<p>&#13;Next, you puree the vegetables and the cooled broth in a blender. Pour this mixture back into the pot and add spinach.  Then cook over medium heat until the spinach wilts.  Then you remove it at once so that you don&#8217;t overcook the spinach.  Overcooking vegetables diminishes the vitamins and minerals in them. To have adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals in our body we should eat a variety of fruits and vegetables every day. Different kinds of fruits and vegetables have a different vitamin and mineral content, and so as not to miss out on several important nutrients we should more fruits and vegetables.  </p>
<p>&#13;If you feel deprived of the junk foods while on your detox diet then try preparing different kinds of vegetables recipes each day. A variety of tastes can help with those cravings and be satisfying so you stay away from the junk food. If optimum health is your goal then detoxification can work for you.</p>

<p>      Amid an age when people tent to be health conscious, the idea of replacing meat as an ingredient in a recipe has been a growing practice among people who may want to adopt into what is popularly known as healthy living &#8212; less alcohol, drop smoking, regular exercise, dropping high-cholesterol foods and more vegetable on the menu. </p>
<p>      But what would be a wise alternative to meat?  Plant meat, veggie burgers, tofu, Tempeh, Seitan (wheat gluten) and beans make up the list of suggestions that may fit as substitute to the high-cholesterol meat products.</p>
<p>      Plant meat, which is usually made to form what could be bought from the supermarket as veggie burgers is a good alternative to meat for ovo lacto vegetaqrian cooking.</p>
<p>      Another is Tofu, which makes a great meal if accompanied by sauces because of its porous texture and nature. There is another type of such meat replacement, the wet Tofu which is recommended for baking, grilling, sautéing, and frying. Another type of this form is the Silken Tofu which could be as sumptuous as it could be when mixed with creamy sauces, desserts, marinades, and dressings. It is however a must that water is drained by way of putting pressure on it for about 15-20 minutes.</p>
<p>      Tempeh, which comes from whole fermented soybeans, is another ideal meat substitute. Simply braise it in a flavored liquid before cooking it. Cooking of Tempeh usually takes an hour.</p>
<p>      Seitan or wheat gluten for its part would best replace chicken meat products, while beans are at good alternatives for protein-conscious people who may want their ovo lacto vegetarian recipes in the preparation of soups, salads, stews and rice dishes.  </p>
<p>      But how does an individual create an ovo lacto vegetarian cooking pantry? Here are some tips and suggestions. </p>

<p>• Black-eyed peas</p>
<p>• Chickpeas (garbanzos)</p>

<p>• Rice vinegar (for Asian-style cooking)  </p>
<p>PREPARED CONDIMENTS, SAUCES, AND SUCH</p>
<p>• Barbecue sauce (great for broiling or stir-frying tofu, tempeh, or seitan)</p>
<p>• Pasta (marinara) sauce</p>
<p>• Pizza sauce</p>
<p>• Salad dressings (choose natural, low-fat varieties of your favorites)</p>
<p>• Salsa, tomato-based, mild to hot as you prefer</p>
<p>• Salsa, tomatillo</p>
<p>• Thai peanut sauce</p>
<p>• Stir-fry sauce  </p>
<p>PANTRY VEGETABLES</p>
<p>• Garlic</p>
<p>• Onions (yellow, red, or both)</p>
<p>• Potatoes, white (red-skinned are an excellent all-purpose potato)</p>
<p>• Potatoes, sweet (for fall and winter)  </p>
<p>REFRIGERATOR STAPLES </p>
<p>
• Butter or margarine (both to be used quite sparingly; look for a brand that is free of hydrogenated oils and trans-fatty acids)</p>
<p>• Cheeses, shredded (low-fat if preferred, or soy cheese)</p>
<p>• Parmesan cheese, grated fresh (or if you prefer, try Parmesan-style soy cheese)</p>
<p>• Ketchup</p>
<p>• Lemons</p>

The main reason for this is that people want to lead a long and healthy life. A problem is that most of them could do with a little help when it comes to cooking healthy and nutritious food. You don&#8217;t have to worry that eating this kind of food will mean that it will all be tasteless or even taste bad. If you would even take some of the help and advice available you would not even notice a big difference between the good and bad ingredients.</p>
<p>&#13;It is not so hard</p>
<p>&#13;You will soon find out that cooking food in a healthy way is not difficult at all. The easiest thing to start with is making sure that the items that you buy do not have to much fat on them. Never be ashamed to ask for help, you would ask for it when you try a different cuisine so look at this in the same way because it is a new cuisine. Don&#8217;t worry about the food being bland, it will not be, there are going to be a lot of new flavors to discover even if that means using a lot less sugar and fat. Help for cooking healthy comes in different forms ,you can find it through the internet but also as close as the doctors office. <p>&#13;The number one reason for starting this new way of cooking is of course because or your own health but also the health of the people you love like friends and your family. After only a couple of weeks you will see and feel the results of your healthy cooking. You will start to feel lighter, more relaxed and better about yourself. And you will be amazed that just looking at what you eat and acting upon it has such big impact on your life and health.</p>
<p>&#13;What good does it do</p>
<p>&#13;Before you start with healthy cooking is always nice to know what good it does for your body. Healthy food will lessen the chance of having high blood pressure and could even help in getting you pressure down without the help of any medication. It can also prevent getting diabetes by bringing you weight down. Not being to heavy also helps you from not getting a lot of weight related health issues.</p>
